My VDR contains the following hardware:
- Case: Coolermaster ATC 600
- Board: Epia
M10000-B Nehemiah Mini-ITX (Apollo CLE266 Chipset)
- The original fan was replaced by a noiseless Zalman ZM80C-HP
Heatpipe.
The Heatpipe works about 15% more efficient than the original noisy fan.
- DVB: Hauppauge DVB-s 1.3
- IR: HomeBrew
- Display: Matrox Orbital LCD2041
- DVD: Aopen DVD-1648
- The box contains no hard drives, it is booted via network using
PXELinux.
For there are no moving parts inside the box,
it makes absolutely no noise (if the dvd drive is not spinning... :-)
- I use an Universal Monoblock LNB (0,5db) with DiSeq 2.0 to receive streams from Astra
19.2 and Eutelsat 13.0 with only one dish.
Software:
- Debian Linux (Sarge/Sid) & Kernel 2.6.7 with some epia patches
- Kernel-based DVB driver with patched firmware
- VDR 1.3.12 (patched)
- Various plugins including players for (S)VCD,DVD,MP3/OGG and some other nice plugins ;-)
- automated DIV/X conversion
- automated commercial remover (NOAD)
My own plugins:
- Donkey: shows mldonkey downloads
- VDRicu: let vdr act like an ICQ client
